*The artwork was developed from the film more than 10 years ago. We did a lot of procedures including handcraft and AI enhancement to make this work comes true, from a low-resolution photo, and make it paint-liked texture. It’s fun to try and error many times in this experimental process. It may not be perfect, but the imperfection made it Art.
Story of the Artwork:
Many years ago when I always brought my camera and exploring different places in Hong Kong. I found that the cargo terminal in Western District is the best place for chilling and capturing the sunset. This place is amazing and you can enjoy the best sunset scenery in front of you. You can smell the sense of sea breeze, listen to the rhythm of sea waves here. It made me remember the memories of the precious moments when I was around 10 years old. I remember my father is a hard-working man, I always know he needs to relax after long hours of works. He would like to bring us to take a walk every time after dinner. That’s one of the best memories of my family in my life.
There is timing when you know that everything in your past is just like the name of the old movie, GONE WITH THE WIND. It’s hard for someone with an artist mind living in the commercial world like Hong Kong. But at the same time, this is the place I grow up and with a lot of memories and attachment. Sometimes life like a leave in the open sea, all you can do is keep your balance and go with the waves. You can’t control everything but only can choose to do the best on what you can control. And the most important message in my artwork GONE WITH THE WIND, is to want you to enjoy the peaceful moment with beautiful eyes, and live a better life every day.
That's the story of this artwork. Hope you love my Artwork.
